My name is Ventsislav Vellev, but all my friends call me Vaicho. I was born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1980. I'm a communicative and open-hearted person. I love going out with my friends, having fun by listening to live music in some of the most visited clubs in the capital. From time to time I also play in those clubs.
I have no musical education but all my life I've been interested in music, especially giutars so I took up playing the guitar at the age of 13 when I recieved my first guitar as a present from my father. A few years later I started visiting music classes in order to improve my way of playing and learn more about the guitar itself.
When I felt ready to make a band, me and my cousin Vilislav Pankov, who also plays the guitar, formed our first band with some friends. Unfortunately, I have forgotten the name of this first band...it was a long time ago :)))
Quite a lot of projects followed, some of them were successful, some of them failed but they all made me what I am today. The most imporatant of them for me and my career are :
- -"Still alive", a project influenced by groups as Iron Maden, Judas Priest and all the rock legends of our time
- -"Garden tomb", which was also an interesting rock project containing a lot of new motives which raised my spiritual sensation for music and life itself
- - Velvet project is a progressive rock project, which was inspireted by the need of finding new horizons for me and my giutar.
- -"J.C. Art" this is the project which mostly touched my heart, because of the freedom I had to create in styles as acid and smooth jazz and allowed me to experiment.
- -"Mindtrips - Sade night" - this project was devoted to one of my favourite female singers, SADE:)))
- - Music Station according to a lot of people this is the most successful project, but according to others this is not my project at all :) :) :) But the truth is that this is a result of the efforts and talent of six accomplished musicians with whom I work. A great role in the realization of the project played our executive producer Koji Fukita, who's president of UBP International (Indie Label).Thanks, man, for having faith in us all the time.
- - Millennium this is an art-gospel formation, where I take part as a guest musician, working with the music producer of "Music Station" Tony Grapes, who soon became one of my closest friends. It was a great honour for me to participate in such project helping me to become an accomplished player.
At the moment I'm working on several new projects including my solo album which will contain more than 10 tracks in smooth jazz and easy listening style.
